Before Plushimushi took form, a primordial void existed where imagination and reality coexisted. In a cosmic event known as The Great Stitching, the world of Plushimushi was born, a place where magic intertwined with reality. Central to this creation was the Loom of Realms, an ancient artifact that weaved the very fabric of the world, connecting the realms of Plushimushi and maintaining balance. To harness and stabilize the Loom's immense power, Mushi Crystals were created—fragments of the Loom's energy, scattered across the mainland of Plushimushi. These Crystals are the key to activating the Loom, allowing for travel between realms and unlocking hidden magic. For generations, the Crystals and the Loom ensured peace. However, a dark force known as the Dark Shattering threatens this balance. Should the Loom’s threads unravel, the very fabric of Plushimushi could be torn apart, thrusting the world into chaos.
